This Facebook user Sampson Nnaemeka Samuel has threatened to move his meager account to fidelity bank on the grounds that Diamond bank has been deducting his money illegally.
Recently, a lot of people has been complaining of the way Diamond bank deduct their money for no reason and without explanation to their customers. Diamond bank instead of accepting responsilities, has shifted the blame to a scamming virus.
Below is a post by one facebook user(name withheld)
'They have just sent my guy text that says customers be careful or a scamming virus that debits them in the name of stam duty charge. They advised customers that when they see an sms carrying a link, delete or ignore. In order words, they are blaming a scammer who has ability to debit u and still quote ur account balance accurately...guys do u believe that sh*t?'

Dear Diamond_Bank,
I'm not going to buy the idea that some bank manager woke up one morning in this modern age and decided to start #Stampduty deductions from customers' accounts without notice.
Only the stress you will face in closing people's accounts will be hell on wheels.
So here is my promise.
If we don't get an explanation by the end of next week, with a detailed reason why you are the only bank charging for duty stamp (whatever that means).......
I will move my meager income to Fidelity Bank.

Nice one. This is just the beginning for Diamond bank with their useless charges. Is that not corruption to charge customers irrelevantly and making maximum withdrawal 6 thousand naira so their would be cutting N65 for each withdrawal as applicable here on Abakaliki?
